I have over 25 years’ experience across a range of corporate roles including learning design and delivery, Human Resources, team development, brand strategy, human-centred design, communications consulting, change management and video production.
When I facilitate I am present, dynamic and love to bring some fun. I am proficient writer (and love doing it) and I am an insight hunter. I love people so possess a strong ability to build rapport, trust, and lasting relationships with those of all ages and levels. I am a natural leader and presenter with unsinkable optimism.
This is an about page, so I have to talk about myself, but I prefer to be service oriented and make my work about enabling others. I am also very human (just like you!) and loves guiding people towards ‘aha’ moments through learning and relating.
Work
My career journey began at a Sydney advertising agency where I developed skills in qualitative research, and brand strategy. I then relocated to Melbourne to train as an actor. Upon leaving drama school, I worked for a large call centre provider, gaining experience in inbound sales, training, recruitment and as an HR generalist.
During this time, I studied screenwriting part-time which led me to establish a video production company. I wrote and directed videos for over a decade, before transitioning back into the corporate world to work at Huddle, a human-centred design agency, where my role spanned marketing, learning design and facilitation.
I then worked for a transformation consultancy, specialising in cultural program design, facilitation and change communications. Most recently, I has been working as a facilitator and instructional designer for the Australian Institute of Management.
Because I love learning, and learning about people in particular, I am currently studying a Masters in Gestalt Psychotherapy and regularly volunteer as an assistant facilitator at intensive personal development retreats.
I’m also working with Melis at this human to help designers become the influential, brave, creative leaders the world needs.
